Is this real GTA 6 gameplay?

Rockstar says the Extended Look is made entirely from footage captured in-game on PlayStation 5. It is edited as a showcase, blending playable scenes, story sequences and cinematic camera angles rather than presenting one uninterrupted play session.

Short answerYes, it is official in-game footage, but it is not an uncut gameplay recording.

What the showcase reveals

Missions and combat

The video includes story missions, cover-based gunplay and Jason and Lucia working together. It confirms GTA's familiar action foundation without revealing the full weapon set or difficulty options.

Driving and pursuits

Gameplay scenes cover trips through Vice City, faster driving sequences and police pursuits. Rockstar has not separately published detailed vehicle-physics specifications.

Two protagonists

The showcase includes playable moments with Jason and Lucia and transitions between their perspectives. The full rules for switching characters outside missions have not been explained.

Leonida's open world

The footage moves across urban streets, highways and different parts of the state. See every officially introduced location in our GTA 6 map guide.

What remains unconfirmed

  • Rockstar has not specified console resolution or frame rate.
  • A PC version and its graphics settings have not been announced.
  • Not every background detail in an edited showcase is necessarily a separate mechanic.
  • The complete activity, weapon and vehicle lists remain unpublished.

Where to watch

The official video is available free on the GTA VI website and Rockstar Games' YouTube channel. Reuploads may be lower quality or edited.
